This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and compensation on the performance of Daily Casual Employees of the Regional Government Organization of Medan Sunggal District. The reason for conducting this study is because there are still many employees who are late for work, do not come to work during working hours, and slow service. In addition, there are still many complaints from the public, and daily casual workers (PHL) often do not receive their employment rights. Payments made in violation of the provisions of the employment contract, late payments, or less transparent compensation structures can have a negative impact on employee performance by reducing discipline, motivation, and productivity. If this condition continues, it can have an impact on decreasing work performance and hindering the provision of optimal public services. This study is a quantitative study. The population and sample in this study were 80 employees of the Binjai District Attorney's Office, while the sampling strategy used was saturated sampling, namely sampling from the entire population. In the data analysis process, several multiple regression tests, partial tests (t), simultaneous tests (F), and coefficient of determination tests (R2) were used. Based on the results of the tests conducted by the researcher, compensation and motivation both have a large influence on the performance of casual daily employees of the Medan Sunggal Regency Regional Apparatus Organization. This shows that performance will increase with increased motivation and compensation. The results of the Simultaneous test also provide the same answer, namely having a simultaneous and significant effect. This research variable has an effect of 37.8%.
